Why muck based sod is more economical?
There are 3 common ways to grow sod; sand, loam & muck. Because loam & sand are so porous, it is difficult for the soil to hold in water & nutrients. They flow out. Muck based soil is nutrient rich & holds water in better. Muck based soil requires less water than sand or loam based making it more economical, nutrient rich & environmentally friendly.
